AhlulBayt News Agency - The Syrian Arab Army’s 102nd Brigade of the Republican Guard – backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF) and Palestine Liberation Army (PLA) – imposed full control over the Bala Al-Kadhima region of the East Ghouta on Monday after a violent battle with Jaysh Al-Islam and Faylaq Al-Rahman.
The Syrian Armed Forces have been targeting the Bala Al-Kadhima region for quite some time before they officially captured the remaining farms from the extremist rebel factions.
As a result of their strategic advance tonight, the Syrian Armed Forces have reached the outskirts of Harasta Al-Kantara, which is located near the Marj Al-Sultan Military Airport in rural Damascus.
More importantly, the capture of Bala Al-Kadhima has allowed the Syrian Armed Forces to cutoff the extremist rebels from their main supply route in the East Ghouta; this, in turn, has created two different pockets in the region.
